Default 10w7's

I found someone on ebay selling a pair of 10w7's, plus a 500 watt JL amp, all for 520 shipped. Does this sound too good to be true to anyone else? The guy has zero feedback, but if I use paypal I can always get my money back, think I should try it?

yes that definitely sounds too good to be true....
but i'd jump on that deal. if u get screwed ebay should help you out. if you don't get screwed, you just got one hell of a deal.

and if you dont get screwed you'll only need one of those 10w7's with the 500/1 so you can give me a good deal on the second one!

if its used then its not too far off. When i was parting out I was selling my 12" JL W7 and a zapco 1000 amp for $700. I think I even threw in a box, that costed me another 180 or so to be made.

Boosted,

How did you like that Zapco 1000? I have not installed mine yet but will be using it to drive two 10w7s. I got an email back from Rob at Zapco, and he told me that I could expect 1250 to 1300 out of the amp at a 3 ohm load. Since it is a little more than two 10w7s are rated to handle continuously, I though it would be a perfect matchup. Just want to know what you think, since you had it previously. Thanks

I actually am still using a Zapco 1000, i previously had 2 zapco 1000 and 2 12" JL W7 in my previous car. And yes as Rob stated expect about 1200ish out of that amp at 3ohms. The amp is awesome, I have a symbilink hooked up to it as well and it is very very clean. They are one of my fav amps that i have owned.

Hey BoosTed,

First off, great job on taking pics of the install. Prior to laying down the dynamat in the hatch, did you guys cut out the spare tire mounting point as well as the bolt sticking out of the floor of the hatch area? It looks like you guys did something along those lines. How much mat did it take to do you whole car? I was thinking that I may need two bulk packs of Extreme to get it done as good as I want it. Did you use 3/4 or 1 inch MDF for the enclosure itself? I noticed that you doubled up on the baffle. Really nice!! What gauge wire did you run to your two Zapcos. Is the other one a 350 or 360? Once again, incredible job!! Any advice that you can give me in advance of issues you all ran into would be great.

hey sorry for the slow reply...its finals week and i got caught up. Anyways as for the spare tire mounting point, I dont thing they cut it out, I belive they just dynamatted over it. And for the bolt again I think they dynamatted over it. I think I went through of one pack of the bulk pack for the trunk and almost another pack for the doors. I used 1.5" MDF for the area of the enclosure that the sub mounts to and 3/4" for the rest. From the battery to the cap in running 0 guage, and from the cap to the zapco 1000 4 guage. Im running 4 guage to the zapco 360 straight from the battery. And thats one 360 in there, a 350 would have been better for me but I already had the 360 from my last install.
