Default Attention: Those With Screens!

Where are you getting ur sound from? I'm going to be buying a screen to run with my PS2 in the car. The problem is my head unit, Sony WX 4500X, doesn't have an aux. input. Should I just get a new head unit with aux. input, or will I be satisfied with the sound from an FM modulator? Is the difference significant enough to warrant a new head unit purchase?

Thanks in advance!

ive used an FM modulator in the past and now using a AUX input. For me atleast the difference in sound quality is quite significant, but then again Im picky in the sound quality department. Was teh sound coming from the FMO modulator bad..no but it sure wasnt as good as the direct Aux input. If u are ever in LA or OC during the weekends hit me up and i'll let u listen to it.

I actually have two FM modulators. One for my In-car PC and the other for my XM radio. Both sound just fine to me.

are u running a on/off switch for the fm modulator? if no then the FM modulator is on all the time and might be why u have no free stattions on the entire range, if i read your problem correctly.

I'm using an FM modulator with autosensing (JVC model)... It turns on if it detects a signal.. The bad part is when it's quiet for more than 10 seconds or so, it turns off.. I just wish I could turn that timeframe up a little higher because every once in a while it does the wrong thing..

My eclispe head unit has an aux port which I just took a cable from the output of the computer to the imput of the head unit. All I have to do it put the head unit on the Aux imput and all is good.
