Default Sound System "Break in?"

Hey stupid first sound system question... is there a breakin period for speakers? I haven't really pushed them more than 2 minutes goofing around showing the system to my buddies, but I was curious if anything needs to seal or warm up/ fill out?

Not unless you are using some type of glue, resin or epoxy that is still drying.
It does take a little time to adjust the sound to your taste.

there is always a break in period for speakers.... if you are using stock system or blose it may be minimal..... but all speakers and voice coils will have a break in period. i.e. focals out of the box and focals after 3 months are a completely different animal.

I did experience something like that. They sounded a little different from a few months ago.
I took the car back to the shop and they told me that the speakers were blown.

ummmm...... blowing the speakers is one thing. I would turn it down a notch.

but yes as I said all speakers do break in. The spider tends to loosen up and and get smoother. I think there is a slight difference between breaking in and just breaking it

You deffinately need a break in period. The surrounds for the cones will loosen over time, changing the sound of the speakers. I say don't go crazy on them for a little while to let them break in.

I check around and imntcrzy is correct. Depending on the type of speakers and amps that you do have, there is a set break in period.
The higher end amps/speakers require different times to adjust.
Good thing that I have extended warranties.
Time to fry some more subs.
