Kenwood DDX7015 install questions
I'm ready to get the headunit installed this weekend. I do however, have some questions.
#1 where would be the best location to connect the illumination (orange wire)?
#2 Is it okay to connect the Music Keg to the CD changer connector?
#3 For those with the DSP (KDS-901), Where did you mount it?
Should it be in a space with some ventilation?
Thanks in advance for you help!!!

1. The illumination wire is Orange, on both the deck's wiring and on the wiring harness that is made for the car.
Like he said above, get the wiring harness and save yourself hours of trouble.

i mounted my DSP under the clove box. the unit comes with 17 feet of optical cable, so you can pretty much put it wherever you want. this also eliminates the need for long RCA cables to the amps. if you want you could mount it right next to your amps..
make sure you dont bend the optical cable to much or you will damage it.

Almost done - I got the HU installed and wired to go today. I cannot believe all the wires fit in the little space behind the HU and white box. Also, ran new speaker wires through the doors and rear; connected the crossovers to the door speakers tweeters.
watched a few minutes of a DVD tonight before calling it the night.
I really like the screen tilt angle feature.
The stock NAV and DDX-7015 screens look tight at night especially looking from the rear window.
Will power up the amps (4*, Sub, and CTR channel) tomorrow.

I was interested in the 7015 as well. How "angled" can you get the screen to sit?
