Default Alpine screen install

Hi all,

First post here. Great site by the way.

I want to get myself the Alpine TME-M770 screen to stick in the cubby hole on the dash and I don't know if it fits. I've asked a few people about this and got nothing firm from anywhere. Has anyone here fitted this screen? Or does anyone know of anyone that has? If you have, did it fit easily without any modification needed?

Dimensions in case it helps are 161*109*28.5 (in mm)

I'm in the UK and I think our cubby hole might be different to yours, but if I can find out if it fits in yours, then I might be able to find out how they compare for size more easily.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Mike

Smile TME M770 with NVE-099e

Sorry guys, I've been on holiday. I'm the one who posted the initial message regarding the fitting of the Alpine system, and yes, i've installed it successfully. I think it looks much better than the OEM's navigation.

See link for OEM cluster part:

See previous post:

Fortunately I completed the whole installation myself so I'll be able to help you along the way.

Pics shortly.

Jaf.

Ah excellent, are you Jaf UK off the UK site? If it is you, I didn't know what happened to you, because after you posted there, your name came up as unregistered.

Oh well, pics would be great, cos the system looks brilliant.

Incidentally, before I posted this, I did a search for M770. How come that post of yours didn't show up? Strange. I also did a search of alpine and install and there was nothing that appeared more recently than 2003.

Default My Alpine M770

Yes, that's me. I've managed to borrow my friend's digital camera so I'll take some pics this weekend and post them.

BTW, I think there's a problem with the search facility on here. It's pretty awful.

The Apline system requires no cutting of the plastics at all. It fits so perfectly TOP/BOTTOM and LEFT/RIGHT. Plus, there's nothing can match a touch-screen system. Can't stand those remote controls.

I haven't taken any pics of the install, but I can easily talk you through it as soon as you purchase the necessary parts (see links on previous post).

Default TME-M770 and NVE-099e PICS

Can't seem to upload pics anymore. Anyway, I've uploaded them to my Yahoo photo album for everyone to see.

On one of the pics I've taken a lower view of the screen to show you where the top line of the TME frame is in comparison for the 350 cluster. Basically they line up completely so NONE of the LCD screen is out of view.

Access the TME-M770 Album at:

Enjoy!
