go to "speakers", they have 4 lines of subs. Click on either "BL" "BTL", "Q", or "SSD". They specs will be listed...

Yeah. I got that. I just don't understand the technical side. Don't know which sub would be best for me.

Default Update...

Well, I was busy this entire weekend so didn't have a chance to complete the install. I did make small progress though. I test fit the new 2inch mounting bolts I purchased recently, through the sub's mounting holes. The bolts did not work. The outer rim of the sub has a rubber ring that is about 1/4 inch thick. Theoretically, the head of the bolts is suppose to sink into the rubber out of sight. In my case, the bolts I purchased have a large phillups head on them. It was too large to sink into the rubber ring. The old allen head bolts I had are only 1 1/2 inch, which is too short.

I made a trip to Lowe's harware and found 2 inch allen head bolts. They fit perfect. Hopefully tonight I can complete the install.

I snapped a few pics of the FI Q vs. my old Rockford T1. I used a can of Neverdull for size reference......

I could not locate anything above 2". It's ok though, the T-nuts I have are 1/4 inch long. The added length of the T-nut will increase the length of the bolt, so to speak.

I most likely will be using a JL 500/1
final load???
a variety. some rock, some hip-hop, some electro
200-300, maybe more for a nice sub
sealed

I don't want something for extreme bass. I would like something that sounds good. I do want a sufficient amount of bass but not overboard.

I still haven't completed my FI install, but I'd say that FI subs are on the extreme side. Definitely not your everyday common sub IMO. In my case, the kind of bass I'm looking for is the kind that moves your shirts and impairs your vision..

Fi Q
FI SSD
RD Classic
RE se or sx

all would work sealed off your 500 watts and be in your budget

Wouldn't running 500watts rms into a FI Q series severly underpower it? I believe it was said that "underpowering a sub causes more damage than over powering it".

Thanks.

I don't think they make a 10" FI Q though.

Who makes these two? RD Classic and RE se or sx......nevermind. I found em.
