I don't get why people bother doing anything to the rear speaker setup. Just put more money on a bigger/better/active front sound stage rather then upgrading your rears. That and the big hump of the box doesn't do it for me for some odd reason. You thought about making the sub box fit perfect under the strut instead of having those gaps?

is the sub box a jl stealth box just recovered? also did you use leather or vinyl to cover the box and door pods?

For some reason I love tearing apart cars It was less than a week after I bought this car that panels started coming off.

Those gaps don't quite make up for the space in the hump. I struggled for a long time coming up with something to fit 2 sealed 10W7's. If you make a box with the face flush rear of the strut bar and extend it towards the front as much as possible, you'll still be way short of 2.5 cubic feet and it would probably look weird too (weirder than a hump that is). With the subs back at little under the strut I could make a cover so I don't have to worry about anything in my trunk puncturing a sub, plus I can still easily access my spare. As far as active front stage, maybe in the future when I have more time. Right now I'm happy with my audio ignorance. I'm a noob to all this, and I need more time to research and maybe actually hear a system with an active front stage

The box and door pods are covered with vinyl and it's not a JL stealth box.

This is one of the best looking boxes I've seen so far. Also, a big plus is that it actually has some decent air space. Most under the strut boxes lack the air space to accommodate any really powerful 10 inch subs.
