The 16-VBF1 Line Driver can accept signals from 1 - 5 volts and increase them up to over 9 volts. The higher the pre-amp output voltage, the better signal to your amp, and the louder the amp will be able to go!

The 16-vbf1 line driver is designed to increase the signal voltage to an amp or multiple amps. This line driver will help offset the loss of voltage when driving multiple amps from the same pre-amp output.

The higher signal level will also help prevent unwanted noise from the vehicle from entering into system. Certain installations I have heard have carried engine noise through the amp into the speakers. After installing a line driver, that eliminated these unwanted engine noises, and also increased the output of the system.
