The head unit in my is shorting out on the left side. Were you having any probs. out of it when you pulled it out.

Nope, it was working fine. Pulled it out when i did my whole system.

Do you have the small amp that sits next to the subwoofer compartment? Not sure if there is another amp somewhere else.

it will plug in but it will sound like chit....so in short, no a non bose system will not work with a bose system
there are no amps, etc for the non bose and i heard it is very hard to convert by buying bose components and putting them into a non bose car...better off buying aftermarket or sticking with the non bose hu
