That's pretty cool. How much data does it show? I know you listed a few.

MAF, Gear position, Dynamic Horsepower, Dynamic Torque, Ignition Timing, Throttle Pos. It's all the things you OBDII records..pretty much all the sensors you didn't know your car had.

Hey OP, GLWS with the sale, But i have a question, I got one of these & installed it in my car, But never got it to extract any data from the ECU !!!

This is what i get all the time,

-0mprv.jpg

Is there anything that i should do other than selecting 350Z in the setup menu ? Also, Do you have any update software for the unit ?

Many thanks,

Hey, you need to run the obd2 cable to the port back to the unit. That's it and it is a real time feed, whom ever hooked it up for you never installed the obd2 cable. As far as updated software is concerned, I believe I have the latest patch on the system before magden went out of business. So unfortunately, what you have is, is it.

Thanks for the reply,

I did the install myself & i connected the OBD-II cable for sure, But no dice .

The only thing i think may be wrong is the data cable itself, I bought the unit used & the cable i got looks cheap & doesn't have the Magden name on it, It does not look like this;

Here's the pinout side of my cable,

Would you please, take a picture of your data cable from the pin side ?

ps,
I'm very sorry for this & i'm not by any means hijacking your thread, Magden are out of the business & i couldn't find anybody to help, Even the seller !!!
