Anything thrown in with purchase ?
Since my kind dealer has "most" probally taken a bribe from a buyer to jump queue my car is now in second allocation.
Has anyone got anything thrown in with the deal of their car ?

Yes, I got front and rear mats, cargo nets and wheel lock nuts all of which I would've purchased anyway so I'm happy.
Sorry to hear about you missing out. Did you get anything confirming your order? Have you considered speaking to Nissan Aust about it (not that they'd likely do anything).

Well my DB Track arrived Friday at the dealers only three weeks late, well I did order it back in Oct and was told I was getting delivery on the lauch date haha what a joke, you see my lovey DB Track was f#$king damaged in transit I can believe my bad luck.
What do I do, if I knock it back and ask for another car how long will the wait be?? or do I take the repaired car.?? I'm not happy receiving a damage car what would you guys do??

ZZZ-35, what are they offering you in compensation? I definitely wouldn't take it at the new car price. I'd expect them to drop at least 10% off RRP so ~$7200
On the other hand if you really want a DB Track you may have to wait untill June/July as most of the next shipment is already spoken for as well and you'd be pressing your luck that there's one on the boat that hasn't been spoken for.
EDIT: Just a thought, what was damaged? Maybe some race car driver wannbe took it for a spin? What else could be damaged that you don't know about?

Sorry guys, too steamed to mention the damage. The rear drivers side bumper moulding, a round dent about the size of a basketball right on the corner between indicator and stop light, looks like a 4x4 backed into it. They're replacing the rear bumper, rear bumper moulding and cracked rear stop lens no structural damage that I could see, apparently Nissan had front and rear moulding in stock pre- painted just for such shipping mishaps. The good news is the car will be ready Thursday all being well. They have thrown in the deluxe floor mats ($495.00) as a sweetener and so they bl##dy should, I also managed a good change over price for the Rays $ 2300 plus the lock nuts. Now all I need is for the Nismo body kit I've ordered to arrive in pieces as well! What a saga.
Sorry for the bad grammar in the previous post I was a bit emotional I think I've calmed down now, it's been a long wait.
I will check it out very carefully on delivery and post you the outcome.

Hey ZZZ-35,
You could look at it this way.
1. The dealer is honest enought to tell you about it. They could have just fixed it and said nothing. (I am sure that has or will happen to other buyers)
2. They are fixing it.
3. They are giving you a few extras to make up for the delay.
So take the car and you will be turning heads in no time. Rather then having to wait a few weeks/months and turn your head when someone goes past in their Z.
Cheers!

Keep in mind that the car's damaged and hence has immediately lost even more of it's resale value. That may or may not matter to you. It doesn't matter how good the repair is a professional will know. I have a friend who's an ex panel beater that I take with me when looking at cars. He can spot a non factory sprayed panel from 10 metres away that I have no clue about right next to it and I'm pretty thorough when it comes to paint.
Thanks Guys & Gals (Bev)
They assured me the repairs will be like new and the rear bumper was pre-painted at the factory (Japan) which I find hard to believe. But these things happen all the time unfortunately
If its not up to standard they can take it fix it again, I will not take delivery until its right.
Thanks again.

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW COULD THIS BE HAPPENING MAN???? I will definitely not take the car at that kind of stage, no way in the world would a dealer delivery a damaged car to its customer! You should have got a better price than all of us if you are going to accept this damage matter! Make sure that you have a thorogh check with the rear bumper and the relevant damaged parts later on when you take your car, if you are not happy for ANYTHING... don't take the car man! Just my 2 cents!
Cannot wait to see your nismo body kits man... hehehe.... I am getting my Nismo rear spoiler today I think as the Tracking status shown online.... 7.25am Melbourne time---> Onboard for Delivery!!!
cheers,
richie

I guarantee that many new car buyers buy damaged and repaired cars from dealers and have never known that the car was damaged in the first place. I believe that the dealer is not obligated to tell the buyer.
In Subaru's case the incident is "usually" logged against the vehicle so if a fault arises then the dealer has a record of it.
In my case with the wrx, the rear window plastic covers that seal the window popped off 1.5 years later and closer inspection revealed that the plastic strip was glued back with a glue gun as the clips were broken.
I reported the fault and they would not repair it under warranty as it was not recorded against my VIN number when it was repaired at the dealer or the factory.
Long story short. I argued till I went blue in the face and they did it as a warranty job.
So the moral is - If it is repaired make sure it is recorded somewhere.
The dealer will unlikely reduce the price if the repaired item is replaced with a new factory painted item. If it is an item that is repaired ie: front guard then you are entitled to a discount.

While I'm not certain I believe the dealer would have a duty to disclose any repairs to a new car. However I doubt that they would if they could get away with it.
Personally I wouldn't take the deal they've offered but that's my choice but in this case ZZZ-35 has to make the choice that he's happy with. I'm only offering another point of view for reference.
BTW why don't you ask to see the damaged pieces? Or the vehicle before it's repaired if it's not too late for that.

Thanks guys for all the advise, I have been able to see the damage prior to repairs plus see the repaired car yesterday. The damage turned out to be minor a dented bumper moulding (replaced with new), cracked right hand indicator lens (replace with new). I surpose the only down side is I know it happen, but seeing that I'm installing a Nismo body kit I'll have repainted parts on the car anyway, lets face it the Nissan factory paint job is not that crash hot anyway.
