Sydney Track Day
Hey Guys,
Good to catch up today and it was a great day!!!
I am off to sort out some suspension settings and cant wait to get back out there! The Z suspension was great coming out of corners however could do with a lot of improvement coming into the corner and when under brakes.
Certainly was very impressive though and lots of fun.
Great track also and gives you time to take it easy and get used to the car.
Cant stop laughing about the GTR nailing everything in site including a GT3 911 and the look on those guys faces....

I know that those of us who went yesterday now have a better understanding of what our cars and ourselves are capable of and are keen to start adding other mods etc but I just thought I'd post a reminder to check with your insurer. The last thing you want is to have bingle and then have them void your insurance.
Now, where are those catledogs...

I was under the impression that insurance wouldn't cover the track....lol....didn't stop me anyway!
I'll ring the manager and see if I can get an intelligent answer from GIO. Wish me luck!

ahh ok....mods have never been a problem with insurance.
You just need to advise them of the changes. The only thing that will void your insurance is if it changes to the way the engine operates...ie NOS, FI, maybe CAMS... exhausts and intakes are fine.
YOU MUST INFORM THEM THOUGH!

I think you'll find most places will reject full exhausts and open intakes. Certainly heavy suspension changes, brake swaps, FI, ECU and anything that is illegal.
There are specialists around that are very good and competitive.

NRMA accepted CAI,headers, exhaust and ecu swap on the commodore.
That was an increase from 220kw to 270kw..
They just wanted to know if the engine was modified and thats about it.
Things might have changed in the last few years but somehow i doubt it. They want your money! Your age and where you live has more to do with risk than your exhaust.
