I'm putting in a VDO 5000 series. Different screen fits in hole nicely, cover comes over ok.

Forget screen name $600.00 new, I'll find out tommorow. Let you know

It can take the dvd player input too.

If you look at U.S site, they say there is no extra input on the Nissan screen for dvd I think.

i installed mine with VDO 5000 series as well. With the 7" LCD installed.
I let the VDO Navigation sit underneath the passenger seat.

hi david. I bought the screen for $900 at autobarn (in melbourne) He did the installation for me because he done a couple things on my other cars.
The sat Nav i bought it for $1900 at Ebay but retail is about $3999 i think.

Sat nav installation is about $250 and Screen about $100.

Auto Bahn retail for the Nav unit is $2900......ish.
$3999 odd all up with screen plus fitting.....

What screen did you get Pat?

Did you try to fit it into any storage department?
I'm going to try both smaller ones, one each, dvd and nav..

Did you consider the little storage compartments for the unit?

The VDO doesn't fit on the little compartments at the back. Therefore i just put it under the passanger sit with no problem.
Maybe someone will do something better.

Has anyone noticed the "hole" under the carper in the glovebox. Perhaps it could go in there?

As always

Pat, the carpet is a mat and it is as easy as lifting it up. It is not stuck down. I could be wrong but I think this is where the factory unit is placed???
