Zenon Headlamps
you meant Xenon Frosty?
Those are Gas head lamps... using high voltage (up to 21K Volts or more at the initial start up) to discharge the gas elements to enable to emit lights and with different type of gas filliments in the lamps, the headlights will result in different light colours, such as 4300K, 5000K or even 10,000K... and yeah... it is A LOT brighter than our normal head lights... just like those on BMW M3 and higher class range cars...
Ours are halogen lights.... so that means they use light FUSES to emit lights instead of using gas in them...
We are not ripped off by Nissan (but really come to think about it, we are really ripped off in some ways)... as all the cars sold in australia equipped with xenon lights will need to have head light washer system on, just to keep your head light clean... and Nissan does not happen to have the headlight cleaning system just like S2000, so we don't have HID (or xenon) as the standard equipment on the Track model... pitty us due to the ADR....

yes the European Version have the headlight washer. But the American that have Xenon seems don't have a headlight washers as well. Is the Headlight washer for Xenon Equipped car is essential for Australian and European law?
I just wandering what for?
I just wandering what for?
I don't know what is the headlight washer system for though... I have not yet seen the european version yet... got any picture? I think the reason that they got it is because of the weather (snow in winter)... so they might need to get rid of the snows on the head light!

To be technically correct what you are refering to are HID lights (High Intensity Discharge). These work on a similar principal to mercury/sodium/metal halide lamps are are related also to the fluro. The Aust. Z comes with standard halogen bulbs not HID.
HID can be retro fitted ($$$) and makes a significant improvement, but watch out for sales gimiks where halogen lamps are colored blue filled with a little Xenon and called Xenon lamps.

Rich here is a picture of European 350Z.
It's pretty bad picture but at least you can see just below the headlight there is a square shape thing. That's a head light washer for European version with Xenon I think.
