I just got off the phone with lamros about getting my HT installed. While on the phone i asked how much it will cost for him to install hi-flow cats.
He was VERY adamant that we should NOT TOUCH the stock cats on the car as he reckons it could not only screw up the ecu but he reckons that aftermarket exhausts may run better without them.

He told me that i i got the cats to bring them in to him to look at before he puts them on. obviously this cant be done as i am not gonna prder the crawfords and then if he says no i'm stuck with them.

BUT, he hadnt heard of the craefords, kinetix etc... so i think that based on the hundred or so people in the american forum that the cats would not only be safe BUT the car would benefit aswell.

WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK????

 

He told me the same thing ages ago, he hasnt changed any cats on a 350z yet and doesnt even know what type of cats the 350z has. He wanted me to bring in my car so he could check it out.

I know lambros did work with Peter in making the headers etc but if you have a 350z specific question I would direct it to Peter. He will be able to give you a acurate response which you can rely on.

 

I just got off the phone to peter and he said it is rubbish. His car doesnt even have cats and no CEL light or any other problems have occured.
In that case i am going to order my cats now and get peter to install them for me

 

Just to reassure you all about the cat issue, I have been running the RT cats for a while now with NO issues at all.

Credit where its due to Lambros for making a great exhaust for the Z, but cats will only complement an aftermarket exhaust.

mmorris, Peter is definitely the man when it comes to 350z.

I had my car serviced today by him. Hopefully my tire feathering issue is resolved now to some extent. He also had a short spin in my car to check out the Konis, if any one wants to hear an unbiased opinion about them, he would be the man.

NUFF i called peter today and you were there. I should have come past to go for a swing in your car, havent been in a 350 for 2 months. Oh well only 3 weeks to go and then i get my license back with all my mods ready for me to take it out for a spin and loose my license again
