Thumbs up 350EVO suspension complete

If you are a serious tracking guy you can not pass the 350 EVO suspension system. I have now completed installation of the last parts. I now have:

front and rear sways
front upper "aA" arm set at -3.5 degrees
Rear torsion control arms
Koni shocks

Each upgrade has added significant improvement in lap times and control. The last addition of the front upper "A" arms has added the most. The car tracks like on rails. The balance and ease of driving with DOT tires is very secure. The break-away at extream corning is very even and controlable. I like this aspect the best as I am entering my second year of tracking.

I look forward to a faster second year and continued mods aimed now at the drive train.

I went for a ride in Ray's car last Sunday (thanks Ray) and placed my order with BJ on Monday!
I'd have to agree that his car felt much more solid than my mostly stock setup. I'm not sure how much this had to do with his 18" wheel setup vs my stock 17's but everything was much more crisp in his car. It's proably mostly in part to the metal bushings in the front and rear arms.
Turn in was improved greatly from the a-arms and the sways felt stiffer than my hotchkis. The konis even were a suprising improvement over stock as well.
I'll give a write up of my evo sways and control arms after I install them this weekend. Will be tracking them at least 4 days in January.
It seems that Ray and I are arriving at simialar setups, even down the exhust. Great minds think alike..

What setting do you have the front and rear sway bars on? Do you have the stock springs?

Default Settings

stock springs

Evo sways set on med front and rear

Evo upper arms camber set to -3.5 front and -3 rear

I don't care about a little extra wear. I had -2 degrees on the rear and have 10k on this set of Yoko AVS sports.

Will run 275x40x17 Khumo tires all around

When and where are you guys heading to the track. I've probably seen both of you out there but I can't place the cars.
daveh: I wouldn't turn down a ride along if one was offered. I'd really like to feel the difference the A arms make before i make my next purchase. Cheers and happy new year...

We are both up in northern california. I run with Checkered flag Racing and Nor Cal Racing club (NCRC). Dave teaches with a number of other groups. I only get to Buttonwillow once or twice a year. Planning on Laguna Seca Feb.

I'll be at Infineon on 1/22 with NASA and t-hill the weekend of the 29th with clubz. You're always welcolme to grab a ride however, I still don't have the a-arms and sways. UPS seems to have lost them.. BJ will send out new ones next week when UPS give the official word that they've lost them.
I actually took my sways off of the car last week when I thought I was going to be getting them. I've been running with NO sways on the car since! It's not as bad as you would think but not something you would want to do on a daily basis.

hmmm....t-hill on the 29th sounds interesting. I don't have a calender in front of me. Is that a weekend date?
You guys should think about heading south a couple times a year. There isn't nearly enough Z's on track as there should be down here.
