Default oil pan (N/A) and track use

Any opinions or experience with aftermarket (jwt, aps, arc) oil pans for track use?
If so, what is your recommended make?
TIA

GY-Z
no problems with oil level.
my questions are: would a larger oil pan improve oil cooling (APS pan )and oil starvation(under lateral load)? Any experience with those pans?

I don't of anybody having oil starvation issues with the VQ35DE. Only starvation issues I've ever had have been with the OEM fuel tank...

I don't think that oil starvation is a problem with our Z's. A friend destroys Hoosiers at HPDE's, and he has never had an issue with his engine. I also don't think high oil temps are an issue if a quality oil is used. In fact, over cooling your oil would probably cause more damage! Now, FI engines would probably need a oil cooler.

Knowing the above, I am waiting for my JWT oil pan spacer to arrive, along with a Defi oil temp gauge. Better safe than sorry!

thanks GY-Z and EnthuZ

i think oil cooler may be unnecessary for N/A engine, but larger oil pan (like spacer or aps) may add a marging of safety. Anybody using it? (APS pan or jwt oil pan spacer)

I have an APS oil pan waiting to be installed when I do my next oil change. I have no track days scheduled in May so it won't get done for about a month.

My engine blew at a recent track event. Dropped a rod.
The final conclusion as to why is not known. But I have
ordered rod bolts and an APS oil pan as just a little
security. The rod started knocking coming out of tight corner.
I don't know if I'll ever get the exact results, because
the dealer warrantied the motor. But better safe
then sorry.

zillinios,
I have began to hear this weird noise from the engine at the past 2 or 3 track events. Anything lead up to this? The reason I ask is my engine is consuming still about 2 quarts every 3500 miles with Mobil 1 5/30. I'm going to send for an analysis with Blackstone.

I noticed two things. A droning on the highway which didn't put me to sleep. I know that sounds really vague, but its the best way to describe it. You know how when you drive at the same speed for a while the car drone can put you to sleep. Well I could have driven forever at 75 mph and the accompanying drone.

The other thing was a noticeable occasional loss of power.

I think the analysis sounds like a good idea.
