Default Race Technologies DL1 Data logger mini group buy

***I’m not sure of the rules for advertising this. Please moderators, let me know and feel free to move this thread if necessary. Thanks.***

This is a one time opportunity. With some friends from the race track we are purchasing a couple sets of DL1 data loggers. (see http://www.race-technology.com )

A demo of the analysis software can be found here : http://www.race-technology.com/WebPa...strations.html

We are still missing one person to get the full discount Race Tech offers. We’re buying the equipment straight from them. Regular price is around 965$ (USD). Our price is around 750$ plus shipping (23% discount). Price may vary with the exchange rate.

This is a good price for a very useful tool. Expect your lap time to decrease dramatically when you learn exactly what is happening and WHY. :-)

The DL1 can be connected to the OBD2 socket of the ECU. Although only a generic software exist to read that data, we have someone here who works on ECUs (I work at Honda R&D) and can sort it out for us.

Anybody interested, let me know !

Be careful. If they weren't overseas, I'd be sueing them. There is NO OBD II compatability. I bought one back in March......couldn't get it to do sh*t. Sent it back, and they now deny receiving it.

Now, how do YOU spell fraud?

No, it hasn't been......

I won't bore you with details, but they lie in their published literature. When questioned, they said they had moved on to other projects...... No plans to make it OBD II compatible. H*ll, we never even got the GPS to lock.

They shipped March 3, 2005. Sent it back around March 30. Surprised you got one that worked. Maybe guilt set in, and they decided to make it work. But back in March, they had no plans to make it OBD II ready. Still waiting for my refund. IF it worked, it would be an awesome unit.

But, needless to say, I don't recommend doing business with them.

They have a shell to run the OBD2 connector. We plan on programming it ourselves

Does that mean that OBD doesn't work unless you do additional programming?

The units have been ordered already. We found the missing member last friday.

Thats our understanding.

Like I said, we have an ECU guy with us. So when ever I have the software, I'll make it availlable to who ever needs it.
