Default Putnam Park Roadcourse 8-9

NASA is having an event at Putnam Park on the 8-9. I will be attending this event and was going to ask if anyone else is. I've been once before back in the summer and I had a great time. The track is very fun to drive and only has one wall. So, if you runoff then you are going to go into grass, unless you screw up on the last turn.

I'll be there. Group 2, looking to move to group 3 that week-end.

Last time (also with NASA) I was runing the re040 tire. Now on my Azenis, it should be a bit faster ! hehehe.

I'll be with the guys with the race Hondas.

For those who are undecided, I have a onboard the Z video of Putnam on my website. www.alexandre-malouin.com

Hey it's this week-end!

Time for an oil/filter change and brake pads swap!

I forgot about your question. I'm running 235/40r18 and 255/40r18. A bit underdriven.

Yeah, I got an oil change yesturday and will be doing pads and fluid tonight. I can't wait! What pads are you using? I got some Carbotech Panther+ that I am going to try out. My tires are getting kinda worn....I hope they can still grip. See ya sat.

Have fun guys! Hope you get some serious track time in. I was disapointed with the minimal time I got when I ran with NASA at Mid-Ohio.

Off topic, Kolia, did you get the Race Technology DL1 to work?

Also, start thinking about the Glen next July.

I've run with a bunch of clubs. I've enjoyed running with Lotus Corps & PCA the most. 4, 1/2 hour sessions per day. BMW CCA also allows about the same amount of track time. I'm looking into a 3 day event at Watkins Glen for next year. I can't recommend CarGuys.

A bunch of us ran Putnam with the Indy Mustang club last year, and, well, let's just say that we all decided to pass on running with them this year. Fun track though. I'm a little bit uncomfortable running with clubs that have NO corner workers.......only a spotter at the start/finish line.

EnthuZ No I haven’t had time to fully connect my DL1. I trying to find a connector on the main harness to branch off a couple probe signals.

Nice to have met you thawk408. Your setup is pretty effective, considering you were still running the re040, your Z was pretty fast! I would have had to drive really hard to keep up with you (correct tire pressure would have helped, I was way to hard). I ran 1:29 while chasing you, I don’t know if you had a lap timer, but it gives you an idea of your times.

The event was fun. But there was way to much traffic in our group. I’d prefer to have small groups and do only 3 good runs. I managed to get only one almost clean lap on Saturday… Sunday was better, with a warmer track and less cars. But still hard to get a clean run. My third Sunday session was the best one. The Integra I was chasing lost it in turn 4 during the warm up lap. Go figure what he was thinking?! So I managed to run by my self for a good section. I have that run on video and will be posting it shortly.

I can’t wait to get my new suspension!

Let me know if you guys want to go to MidOhio. It’s 45 minutes from my place, so lodging would be supah cheap ;-)

Good to meet you to Kolia. You were fun to chase around and your good driving made it hard. Sat. was rather annoying b/c of insane amount of cars on the track. I got out some decent laps on sat. but for the most part there was traffic. Sun. was good for me tho. On the last few seccions I had a lot of open room and really got to stretch the Zs legs. On the last seccion where 1&2 ran together I timed myself and recorded about a 1:25-1:26. I had a real fun time on Sun. when I ran down a new GT that I came to find out had 295rwhp. Both of us were running on street tires and his car looked lowered, although I never asked him.

I am very interested about going to MidOhio. Is it with NASA?

What new suspension are you getting?
