Mike... thanks for the vid... looks good!
ya know, I didn't really notice when I was on track (what few laps I got) but I'm gonna find out who put that apex cone up at turn 5 (that last right hand bend before turning left to get back on the oval.) I think the corner workers may have done that after we blew the track down or something... its a good 10-15 feet early (hard to tell with the slight fish eye of your camera.)
Also, your camera really doesn't do justice to your speed or how steep the banking is there through NASCAR 1 & 2.

Should be up this weekend. I was sorry John crashed out, he and I usually give some great vids of us chasing each other. Disclaimer : we are not racing just happen to be following each other closely

nice driving, but i wouldnt really call it "running down a viper" more Like, caught up to it in traffic, with that said nice driving! and I had fun. The Z's were doing well out there, it was crappy weekend for my car, shredded my track tires on Saturday and had suspension issues, so i had to run on crappy street tires, so i cap'd my speeds on the oval at 100mph and only ran the car at @70%....still nice driving and I had fun. TZC puts on a great track event. Were you running r-compounds?
My student in green group had r-compunds, not what i would consider a great first mod, it makes you faster, but not better. But he did really well and was tearing up the green group! Nice job Conrad

Eric1 I wish I had a video of the whole event. Remeber I had the same traffic, at the end we had two laps to each other it was obvious that I was faster threw the course while the straight he would pull an easy 15 car lenghts and I would quickly make up the 10 car lenghts threw just the Nascar turns. I was on victoracers, so better than street but not a great road race tire for a 3400lb car w/ driver. So yeah I would say I ran him down since he never shook me off.
daveh, all stock ecu, stock motor (except intake-exhaust-flywheel), stock lsd and gears. All suspension (wish I had installed the T2 springs).
mc350z, I would enter turn one about 105- 108 then wait for the suspension to uncompress to accelerate threw the corner and exit around 130 area.
Thanks Mike, we will have to sign up for VIR. All lot of the guys who came down for the bachelore party at Reobling should be there. And I will have my covered trailer by then as well. Now just need something larger to pull with.
southern_info, maybe 135-140 on the after turn one Nascar.

Good job Mike,(so is this whats called autocrossing???.. j/k, lol.)
I'm glad you have your Chase Bullit-Cam up and running! I just wish you had a lot more footage.
I'll have to tell Jim S. to lay his eyes on your videos as he has gotten bit by the tack bug, as well as our other TZCC members.

yeah in my first two sessions i would have the tendency to lift or tap the brake a little because i had never been on a banked oval before and i thought to my self theres no way my cars gonna stick
