I was looking for something like this a while ago.
They sell something similar. I had heard people have trouble with the vibration. I would think this would be a problem, since you're putting a camera on an arm, then attaching it to an even longer arm (the seat back) before you get to rigidly mounted components (the seat bottom).

I took of my rear strut cover trim and there are some holes in it. There are also some tapped holes in the trunk compartment and on top of the divider once you take the trim out.

I was trying to do something last year using the holes for the child seat anchor bracket (there's a similary one on the drivers' side, but no bracket...it's also a different thread) and the tapped hole for the spare tire. Figured I could make a bipod over the seat anchor holes, use a long support arm back to the spare tire hole to make it a tripod, then use webbing to crank it tight to the rear strut brace (or down to floor). Never came together though. I wound up buying a helmet-cam, which I think worked great. Still like to get a fixed mount though, just ran out of time and ideas.

But with the suction cup mount you can move it for different angles and also put it on the outside of the car.

I dont think im interested in something outside the car ...
but then it can be mounted anywhere..
the reason im trying to do it because insurance doesnt cover any racing accidents unless and only unless yo have proof of an instructor being there then its driving lesson accident which insurance does cover

I personally haven't used it outside of the car, but I have a few friends who do. I usually mount it to the inside of my windshield or on the inside of the hatch window.

IMO its well worth the $40. Especially since you don't have to drill anywhere.

Get a length of 2x1 wood stick. (Hockey stick work).

Drill 2 holes to match the headrest support.
Drill 1 hole to fit the mounting screw to your cam.

Drive,
Go back home,
Get popcorn and pops,
Enjoy…
