Default Camber kits, street vs track

I always have this question in mind: For those who drive their Z on the street only, lowering the car without one of these camber kits or rear toe kits will cause tire wear on the inner part of the tires. But for those who track their cars like I do, I found the camber not enough. Am I the only one or no?

What's the solution? I don't want to be changing my camber setting all the time to and from the track, or is that the only solution? Any comprimise setting people use?

Gary

If you don't want to change it all the time than you will need to find a compromise. What the ideal is - you are going to get a million answers.

Yet, I set my camber -1.5 and 0 toe for front and rear and leave it.

My 350evo control arms can be adjusted from street to track in less than 5 minutes. I switch every time I change to race rubber. Best of both worlds.
I leave my rears at around -2 degrees for street and track and got about 28k out of my street tires.

How do you set the camber? Meaning, do you use a bubble level or are the arms marked for "street" and "track"?

I initially used a bubble camber gauge (longacre) to get dialed in. When I found my optimal setting, I marked the control arms with my track setting with a silver sharpie. There is a hole in the top of the arm that lines up with the stock control arm length so switching back and forth is easy and repeatable.

I never noticed the hole. Though I've been married for 14 years and this ability tends to dissipate I think. Thanks.

By adjusting your camber your are changing your toe setting. Do you adj your toe settings every time you adjust your camber setting?

Did you install a SPC toe/camber at the rear or leave it as stock?

anyone wants to sell me a used 350eve control front arm? Does the Cusco front control arm allow such adjustment too?

I have the Cusco arms. Not difficult to adjust, just takes some time (6 bolts to undo and redo each time on each side). The good thing about these are that the pre-drilled holes makes it easy to repeat settings each time with no guesswork, and you can get more than -3 degrees out of them for track use.

I bought the standard longacre gauge with the magnetic adapter. If you leave your center caps off, it's a perfect fit on the spool.

The toe change is negligible. If anything it changes for the better when you add more negative.
