Another reason why the Z won... the tires. They changed the stock tires and also wheel size/width. The pre-06 Z's had ****ty tires, which helped it understeer. The tires on it now are awesome. The '06 Tracks come with 18x9/19x10 wheels with 245/40's and 265/35's compared to the dinky tires on the previous years.
Put some wider stock tires on an Evo, and it would handle better than it already does too.
Oh, by the way, the Track model is NOT the heaviest. The GT is the heaviest, followed by the Touring, then the Track. Get your facts straight.
Some of you guys need to get over it. The Z won... period.

I just think its funny how they act like the Z is sooo slow. I mean the EVO is faster but cmon its not like the Z is a freakin tractor as some on there whould have us believe.

Amazing how many cocky owners are there. I personally believe the Z is an all around better car, but would not disperse the idea the EVO is a better performer.
Its so funny though, its a STOCK vs. STOCK comparison and everyone is crying foul because they didn't put better tires on the EVO or better pads. That wasn't the point of the exercise. I agree that track days should see upgraded fluids and pads, but thats not the principal of the test.
Some of them really need to get over their own EVO's. I go to the drag strip all the time and these EVO owners have trouble braking into the 13's. I don't doubt some of them can drive, but most of them is mostly "blah blah blah".

That's why Tony get's more respect than most Z guys ... he tells it like it is. He's owned both vehicles and probably can give better analysis that most people.

""It could be ANYTHING. I think they should add a small "margin" or error, when they test cars. Like a few tenths up or down error wise. Because of possible error, excessive heat, etc.""
ROFLMAO yeah we should just round the Z's time up and the EVO's time down, that way the EVO always wins. what a joke =P
