Like I said earlier - Sorry. Welcome to the world where there is more to learn than can fit into one mans brain. Glad to see one of the Z shops on the East coast to start to track their cars - hope you guys keep going. I really think this will teach you how to make the most capable Z possible. And I do not claim to know everything or to be the best driver.

I just find that usually the guys that brag about all the cars they passed are usually the most danagerous people on track since they have the "Red Mist" going on and all they care about is passing this car or that car, and not about learning and/or keeping it safe on track.

Sharif, what kind of clutch arrangement are you using to hold that 650whp? And how long does it last?

Any concern about that much power through stock axles?

I've never run Road Atlanta (but I've run Sebring and Daytona more than a few times). Sounds like you had a great time out there. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

We run the Carbonetics (formerly ATS) carbon twin and triple disc clutches on just about all of the 550whp+ cars that we build. On this particular car, we are running a Carbonetics Triple Disc. These clutches hold up extremely well, and tend to last quite a bit longer than traditional clutches. Also very streetable. I think Eagle1 is also using this setup as well.

We are also running Drive Shaft Shop Level 2 axles on this car.

Keep up the good work!

I am running the ATS (Carbonetics) triple disc clutch and 10lb flywheel. It is absolutely fabulous in my experience. I have worn a bunch of parts out, as is typical in running a car hard on the track, (brake rotors, dampers, rear links, sway bar bushings, etc etc) But the clutch is just hanging in there like new, and that is pretty awesome.

Streets of Willow is nothing to sneeze at. I've lap it many many times on my Ducati. And dont forget, you have Laguna Seca just a few short hours away. THAT is something to be jealous about.

Sharif, glad you were able to get back out to a track, and glad you had fun doing it. You used to always say you kinda miss the west coast tracks, well hearing you talk makes me kinda miss the south / east coast tracks. Although most of the 3 years I lived in N.C. I was only turning left, with an ocasional roadcourse thrown in.

I am happy to see some others bring high HP VQ'ed cars to the road courses.
