Racing at Beaver Run, PA
We will be running our 350Z at Beaver Run National, a very interesting new track north of Pittsburg, 16 June. Its just north about a mile off of the PA turnpike at the 13 mile marker. I think its called Beaver Falls exit. Great little track and the Z will be good there but not sure how the lack of horses will be on the uphill straight. We've won there before in the Camaro. This weekend we will be at Road Atlanta with the Corvette. Bob Hines
I just got back from a charity event at BeaveRun. I think you'll do well in the Z. I was turning 1:13's in a pretty stock car on Kumho MX street tires and battled back and forth all day with an M3 on Advan race rubber. The only problem is the stock gearing. I run out of RPM's in 4th and need to go to 5th on the front straight for a short portion. I also could shift down the back straight but opted to lift a little before turn 9 instead. Good luck.
With our higher rev limit we dont have to make that shift. We have been to Beaver for every national they had and possibly still hold the lap record for T2 in our old Camaro. Rob has a lot of experience there and the track is fairly good for the Z.
