Ah- I stand corrected! We have some impressive track lengths here in the States, but none that are quite up to Nordschleife standards. They say you can turn a hundred laps there and just BEGIN to understand the nuances of the circuit.
As for more details (video?) of the VLN races at the 'Ring, Nissan Sport will strive to bring our readers groundbreaking coverage of this European classic.

(listen close this is two days before I had the tranny replaced....on the back straight, you can hear me try and go into 3rd..... it didn't work.)
This was a poor run, but it's the only vido I can find from this event. It was run #2.

I have a friend that did the 24hours several times, and said it was like no other race, Daytona and LeMans have bigger name recognition but the Nurburgring was far more of a challenge

Hi Guys,
My name is Kevin Mc Glone and I am based in the UK. It was I who was running the Blog over the weekend of the ADAC 24hr De Renen. Check the "older posts" on my website to see how the team got on(www.thepitwall.com)Or follow the link from www.nissansportmag.com. Also we will have a more detailed report in an upcoming NissanSport Magazine. I have driven over 300 laps of the ring mostly in a road going Nissan 350Z. My laptime is around 8.37 Any questions regarding the 'ring just ask.

Have fun. I was amazed at how prepared I was in person after many laps of the Ring on my Playstation.
The ring is definately something. My little brother was a participant in both the CHC race and the 24hr. They were the Munbilla team Ruf Porsche rgtrr. One of one. With a 7th overall finish making them the highest finishing private team in the 24hr. They use the CHC race as practice. I will try and get some photos of the 350z teams posted. The Falken team had a few problems in the evening I understand. And at one point they red flagged the race because of extreme fog that night.
The yello GT# was used in the CHC and the blue rgtrr was used in the 24.
