Pretty drastic difference b/w the 350z and actual track record in t2.
It looks like Thunderhill keeps their own records as well, and this was updated May 09': http://www.thunderhill.com/CurrentTh...ecords3_09.pdf

T2 in an 03' Nissan 2:03.912, and it looks like that guy is really friggin' good. I'd like him to instruct for me! http://www.touringcarnews.com/index....ing&Itemid=111

It looks like he traded up to a sponsored 2005 Z also: http://sccaforums.com/forums/thread/215207.aspx

2:03's is moving when you consider t2 350z weight and power level.

Track : Carolina Motorsports Park CMP)

Date: June 20th, 2010

Best Lap time: 1:47:70

Car: FFRC

Tires: Toyo RA1's 255/45/17

brakes: Carbotech XP12

Other Modifications: none

Lap Notes (Rain, heat, etc): Hot, 100+ degrees. The track was also a little slick. I think if it was cooler I could have gotten the car into the 1:46 range.

Fast lap is lap 7:

Texas world speedway CCW
6/26/2010
2.02.2 I shaved 1.1 second from last time

Notes, 100 degrees, the brakes needs COOLING.. they started vibrating and the pads overcooked ( ferodo ds3000 / brembo)

I'm using nitto NT01 (brand new) hot pressures 38F 38R... need to lower the rear because the car is over-rotating.. wasn't inspiring me any confidence to push harder.. the front have more grip for sure.

oil temperature up in the 240 and water in the 220 in 2 laps... the loss of power is significant (top speed about 5mph less than spring/winter).

Roy DLed his camera to me before he left. I haz the same shots you do

Finally got a new camera so hopefully I can start uploading video of one of the lightest 350Zs out there. I got Danny smith to drive my Z last event, our cars are similar weighted and gripped. He showed me a fewmore things that I didn;t know. There is 1/2 second at CMP in turn 4 if one has the testicular fortitude for it I thinkz I do, I did same line on the generals (Jokes) and went into 5 at the proper angle for the braking zone (after some exit drama).

You coming to ZCON? u better

Enter turn 4 around brake marker between 1.5 and 1 and let it drift to the braking zone at the entry to 5.

besides taking it early take it shallow, use the rumble strips to "turn" the car. going throught there at 1/2 mast on power will "rotate" the car due to the difference in friction. First time he did it I was oh kewl, first time I did I was oh Krap, LOL.

I have video somewhere from last year, RRR, VIR north, TGPR, CMP, and VIR south. I'll see if I can dig them up. My Samsung died last september and I just got a Gopro, so hopefully I'll have new videos soon.

OK tried to keep them small for bandwidth sake

CMP last year, buddy of mine getting a taste of the track, Was having power steering issues. NT01s square 275/40/17, temp was hot 90+

TGPR last September, Z NAtionals, I decided to go harrass the GTR run group. NT01s square 275/40/17 ~80F

Mid-Ohio two years ago ZCON, someone from Nissan riding shotgun, kind of coold that day, Khumo MX 275/295

RRR last May, PCA or Darkside event, solo run group and still only two passing zones. A few notes. The silver 350Z I'm flipping off is Morris and its an HR, for the first time he didn't leave me in the straights (3.91:1 gear paid off), the Yellow C5 Z06 and Black Cobra are friends. Justin was my student that weekend and was riding shotgun. May not be my fastest laps of the weekend but was the most fun session. Hoosier Konis 275/40/17 square, HAWT!
