Marty I think my whopping xtra 70hp and slightly wider tires have got ya.

Track was slick two weeks ago when I was there. Ran an identicle time in 30 degree weather in Feb to give you an idea.

Well see what I can do at RA with some Hoosier A's

That's what I said...


Now one of the guys had hoosier with him (yes his own rep) at RA in March. His cobra ran a 1:35.3 with about 70 more hp than me and A's. Now I waited to see what him and the other Cobra's were recieving for life out of these tires. Surprised to say it 8-12 events days before the times fall off on a set. Don't forget our average track time is roughly an hour per day.

While I have not ran the tire yet, it's proven it self on multiple set ups not just cobra's. But the reason I think they work better, is the cobra's weight has a hard time heating up a 275mm tire and the A's are stickier & heat up faster than the R's.

But look around even viper drivers are using them if they want to run in the front of dot legal classes. Just not getting any life due to their weight.

While I don't expect to run in the front being down 70 hp, but does put me a lot closer for less money than an engine. Which is due this winter.

Other wise, I am using more experinced drivers recommendation that are winning races and have the money to develope their program and I just copy it.
