After watching the vids, there might have been a low 2:05 out there, but I need more efficient aero, less weight and more power to get anywhere near the 2:00 area.

 

It's a game of diminishing returns and N^2 costs.




heck the ST3 record is 2:03.6

To get to the 2:00's you will need a lot more aero and probably about ~375 HP

 

ST3 was 2:02.2's this weekend. DJ and Wong both ran around that time.

 

Wong's got 473 lb-ft of Torque, and 330 HP thanks to creative tuning.

Plus a whole freaking junkyard's worth of BMW parts to play around with.



DJ is pretty darn close to that.

Didn't know they set new records this weekend. I'll need to ping them Congrats.

 

Wong ran heavy with big power (348whp) and DJ ran at 315whp and less weight.

 

heard DJ got black flagged for a broken window net...that sucks.

 

Yup, he was displeased.

Only got 6 hot laps the whole weekend. Had a catastrophic hub failure that caused a seized caliper/fire and the whole deal. Haven't assessed all the damage, but pretty much everything on the drivers front corner will need replacing. It's a shame because there was definitely a 16 in the car on Sunday. Oh well....on to next year.
