Autocross wheel suggestions
I plan to do an all out effort autocrossing my 07 Nismo Z in SCCA stock class.I'm currently looking at BBS RGR wheels and Forgeline ZXR wheels. The car came with Rays 18"x9"+30 and 19"x10" +30 wheels which are way heavy.According to SCCA class rules I need to run stock width and diameter wheels with an offset within 1/4" of stock, but I can use wheel spacers to make up the difference.Does anyone have any suggestions as to what other wheels I can look at.

DavesZ#3 is right, you'll be lucky to find decent looking 19" lightweight rims. GL.
EDIT: BTW, I want to autocross my car too. I never have before.

on the various committees that have suggested it get looked at, so it is in the works. But again, without a letter from a member, and most importantly no factual data on the car, it will be a slow process. I would strongly suggest any of you guys in the know on specs, send in some data on the car. seb@scca.com btw there is a meeting this week, so I would get on it right away. It is always good to have comparative data as well, I would show how it compares to the top Z???, 2005 track like Thompson drove, and how it compares to the standard 2007+ car.

stock classes allow race radials, which by far offer most bang for buck. unfortunately race rubber is hard to come by in 19' sizes. I would go 18s and race rubber. same problem I have. u will have much better chances of placing with race rubber. I have 19' nismos for daily driving. they do look great though.
If you are trying to stay in the stock class I would try and call CCW they may be able to help you out with light wheels.
and there are plenty of choices of Racing Rubber in 19s. as long as you want 295s and up...

Ordered Enkei rpf1 18"x9"+35 fronts and 19"x10"+25 rears from racerbob and 285/30-18 and 295/30-19 A6 Hoosiers tires.I plan on using 10mm spacers up front.I bet I feel a big increase in cornering over the stock Bridgestones.
Whitt the wheels are on the way. While we use Kumho 710's and are very happy with them, the Hoosier tire is also pretty good. When you get the wheels call me before you install the blue aluminum valve stems. I will lead you thru it so they go in exactly right. Thanks for taking advantage of the 15% discount on the RPF-1 silver Enkei wheels. Bob
