helmets (Track / Autox)
Any recommendations?
I've been told I have the typical "Asian head". I dunno, it's sorta big?
I'm looking for the typical: comfort, visibility, budget style helmets.
And if so, where to purchase? I know I'm supposed to go test fit them, but there aren't any local shops around here that sell them. I'll have to just measure my head and buy it online. If it doesn't fit then send it back for a different size lol.
Thanks!

I've wondered about the sizing too. Maybe the manufacture has a way to equate a head measurement to size. I went big with Bell to protect my noggin. Local shop, Averill Racing Stuff in Madison Heights. They might be able to help you out. Got lucky and the first one I tried on fit perfect.

I went with a Bell M4 helmet from www.saferacer.com. They're an awesome company. They drop shipped my helmet directly from Bell because I told them I needed it by the weekend with no extra charge. Definitely check them out.

I take that back, I think NASA HPDE's allow you to use an M rated helmet, but definitely not for racing, and I'm pretty sure many other sanctioning bodies won't accept an M rated helmet at all.

I would say about 90% of HPDE's and schools now require SA helmets
