Default Tire Spray Using Wiper Pumps!

HI,

Has anyone done this..... add tubing and install new spray fittings and run the tubing to each of the tires so that instead of spraying down your tires with a water sprayer at the events you just cruise along and hit the washer fluid pumps on...

make the front wipers jets relocate to the driver and passenger side front wheels..

make the rear wiper jet "Y" off to the driver and passenger side REAR wheels.

probably have to drill holes to get to the wheels?

oh, of course replace washer fluid with water....

Forgive me, I don't autocross....but why would you want to spray water onto your tires while driving?

Jason - Man, I think that's ghetto! After each autocross run, I always make sure to inspect all four corners -- tire condition, temperature & pressure, rims, lug nuts, etc. Nothing beats eye-balling what's going on with your car after each run. With your idea, you'll have to move the car to spray the tires, and even that, you'll probably miss the majority of the areas that need to be sprayed.

So they don't pick up gravel and crap between runs? I'm very familiar with what happens in the two wheeled world when you roll through the pits with hot tires.

my buddy and i did this to a rental dodge charger. it was a pos V6 that would not burn the tires to we bought some vac hose and taped it up along side the bottom of the car exiting right in front of the right rear tire.

we then filled the washer tank with tire shine and proceeded to burn the ever living pee out of the rr tire. it was a blast.

so yes it has been done, but for no other reason than to beat the pee out of a pos rental car.

AutoX are super soft and on warmer days can easily overheat...that's why so many ppl carry around a water sprayer in the grid areas. (since the Z has some extra weight and decent power, it's very easy to overheat the tires...overheat --> greasey tires on course)
