In my case, the issue presented itself before I removed the dust shield. Then after I hit my first gravel trap, I replaced the hubs (and the dust shield came off too) and did not do any shimming.

Once I get the car back I will see if I can get a close look at this. Needed a little frame work.

 

Here's the whole ABS service manual, many things are specified for ABS function that might be being overlooked; pedal stroke, axle play etc.

It would really help to have the $1300 Nissan Consult 3 to follow correctly though.

 

To those with failures and VDC, was your yaw sensor disabled at the time?

 

Yes, Mine was disconnected...and I had the dreaded "Hard Pedal" and not stopping issues...at 135 MPH

 

Bumping this - I had what I believe was ice mode (hard pedal, not really stopping) luckily buttonwillow has plenty of run off.

Were you trail braking? Stock camber + hard on the brakes while turning = meh.
