Here is how we did....really a great weekend for us all around. The team pulled together, and I set the track record in Modified, first place in modified RWD, and 2nd place in Unlimited RWD. Great times, and what a FUN track.

Nice Job... Consistency.... something all drivers strive to reach. Does the car feel any different with the cage? Do you drive any faster due to the increased feeling of safety?

Thanks Jet,

Yes, the car feels much more rigid with the cage. Mentally, I don't think having a cage makes me go faster....I still have a strong self-preservation instinct at play. But it is nice knowing, in the horrible event of a bad crash, that the cage should provide additional protection. Lets just hope I never ever EVER have to test that out.

I weighed the car, and I am at 3100lbs without driver and 1/2 tank fuel. Still a little piggy, but since the cage added about 125lbs, I don't feel too bad.

Do you still have A/C? Speakers? Stereo? Any carbon fiber body panels?

That was removed a while back...nothing left. The areas I see for additional weight savings, are all of my OEM body panels, and the rear hatch/glass, and front glass.

You know you'll be forced into Unlimited if you take out the OEM glass.
Great job out there Sharif, looking forward to seeing more of you next season.

That Subaru 2 door was FAST. The Top Speed car. But I was very partial to the 350Z. I watched it pass under the bridge several times and it was looking fast. Sounded better than anything else on the track as well. 350Zs had strength in numbers at this event as well. I look forward to next year! And as always, Forged represents itself with a very nicely built Z. Good job, Sharif!

Too bad about the championship. Atleast you have your priorities in the right order. Hope to see you on track next year.

We really appreciate the support, and kind works. In the championship standings, we came in 2nd place in unlimited RWD this season. I have no doubt we'll be contenders for 1st place next year. We are just getting the car warmed up. Thanks again!
