I have used hawk pads and had bad luck with them, I am using EBC red, right now and have good luck with them. So I am going to try Carbotech and see how they do, alittle more aggressive pad then my EBC's.
O'yeah. My car gets used for autox and track days. I know there are many threads about brake pads, but I will try to update this one with my results and compounds

for HPDE track use & autox i'd use carbotech XP8's personally, though they'll need some heat in em before they work so they may not be great if you DD the car. the Pads database has all the info you need though...
Agreed on the Carbotech pads. Used the GT Sports on my RSX and the initial bite was disgusting good even cold. The dust was better than the HP Plus. They were noisy as all get out though.

I clicked Hawk since my HP+ have been working well enough. I'll be trying CarboTech XP12's next on the front with HP+ on the rear. A friend of mine is using those and highly approves.
HP+ will cook and become useless very quickly with sticky tires on a hot day. With heavy, powerful cars with tiny stock brakes, we need very aggressive pads for track use. Brake pads are one thing you do NOT want to skimp on - some learn this the hard way.
HP+ have hauled me down from an indicated 135mph to somewhere around 50ish I guess over and over again. In the summer I could only go 4-5 laps before needing to slow down and cool off the brakes, but in 70* or cooler it's just fine. It's just barely good enough with base brakes so I'm going to upgrade to XP12's next time. Hopefully I will have all the stopping power I need then.

Cobalt Friction XR2- wide temp range, excellent torque and low rotor wear. Used them in SCCA and NASA competition this year and was extremely pleased!
Ok, first another mention of the Database. It's pretty darn complete.
second, there was no mention of which pads from the companies you are looking at.
There is a huge difference between Hawk HPS, HP+, Hawk Blues, and HT10's.
The same can be said with Carbotech pads.
