The standing mile, track days, drag strip etc are all fun but nothing compares to this race...you need to be there..I don't want to be the only Z there again this April...

I thought about doing this a few years ago in my z32 but haven't given it much thought in a while. Guess the z33 should pass tech ok since I prepped if for NASA racing. I'll have to check the rules again. I drove out there and watched the race ~5 years ago and drove the course the day before the race. Looked like a lot of fun.
What class will you be running in?

You need to come! Its going to be a blast! I'm running in the GT(3) class..tech speed of 140MPH. Getting harnesses and bar in the next few weeks..I'll be leaving Austin on the morning of the 21st of April for the drive out. I don't have to do the rookie qualifying this year but want to go hang out, shake down the car etc and get registered early.

Biggest thing here is 2000 miles is a long way for a one day event, even a weekend event.
And trying to goat people by calling them scared will most likely not increase participation, especially since this particular section of the forum has several professionals and a few national champions in it.
Well, compared to 387 turns in 59 miles @ 140+, maybe.
