Want to do 275's all around.
I have researched on tires and had found out almost too much info but at the same time I am confused. I would like to buy a set of rims and install 275/35/18's (Thinking about Nitto NTO1's). I want to be able to rotate my tires to get more life out of them so I want to go with a square setup. As for the rims is where my confusion begins. Is it possible to get the rear rims to have a bigger lip for the wider wheel in the back effect? I would imagine the offset would be different but I could just have the tires de-mounted and re-mounted since I would then be able to rotate the tires but not the rims. I could also just get rims that are all the same but I'm not sure if that is possible either? Not sure what will cause rubbing issues in the front or back with this. Also this is just for summer driving and autoXing / road racing and the car is not a daily driver.I hope what I am asking makes sense. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can get many sets of wheels that are the same size all around and fit 275s, from 9-10" in width generally. You also could get a 9/10 stagger to give a little more lip in the back and run 275s all around, but I think paying to swap the tires around would be a pita - your call. It also matters how flush you want to attempt to have all 4 wheels. Like Jason said, his 17x9 +17 works, as does my 17x10 +25. You could always compensate with a small spacer in the rear to push the wheel out a bit more, as the front doesn't require as much offset for "flushness" as the rear.
I'd say that 18x9 or 9.5 would be your best bet in 18" sizes in the +17 - +23 range, but you could go higher in offset and compensate with a spacerif you choose to (i.e. not necessary for clearance).
Here are my 17x10s with 275/40s all-around:

Tire Sizes for 2k6 Track.
So now, for stock class, can i run a 10in wide wheel and tire set?
I mean seriously, my stock rear wheel is 19x10, can i run a 17x10? Or even 17x9's all round? (I have stock 17's for winter wheels, but this is winter pipe dreaming...)
Current plan is to learn the car and maybe get competitive with it. 17's will be coated with non-winter tires for the summer for this purpose. Whichever is cheapest. (azenis, kuhmo etc...) Also, because i plan on using the stock 17's from a 2003 for the year, should i shove equal tires on? or leave them unbalanced? (the rear wheels are wider...) For wear it seems like the same size all around would be best. Would having the same size tire but different size rim affect the driving feel?

Its also a road race lounge...
You essentially have to run the stock diameter and width wheels that were available on any model 350Z for the 2006 model year. 17s would not be allowed. You would have to run the 18 x 8 front wheels and the 18 x 8.5 rear wheels as your best option.

Thanks so much for the info, this is all starting to make sense now. If anyone has anymore pictures they would like to share if they have a similiar setup that I'm going for I would much appreciate it (maybe even explain your size tires and offset). One more thing, what do you guys recommend for autocross tires? Are the Nitto NTO1's a good value or are there better out there? I'm trying to keep the cost of the tires below $1200 and not sure how much I am going to spend of the rims yet. Again thanks for all the help here.

Hey, did you have to do much fender rolling to fit the 10.5's? How close to the fenders are the 285's on there? I'm on RPF1 10's front and rear and I have been wondering how much work i t was gonna take to get the 10.5's to work. Of course, I'm running 295's/315's, so it will be a bit more challenging on my car...
Thanks for the input, sorry for the thread hijack...

So if I went with 275/35/18's and this rim setup would it be ok? Bolt pattern : 5 x 114.3
Size : 18 x 8.5(front) & 18 x 9.5(Rear)
Offset : 20mm(front) & 25mm(Rear)
Lip size : 2"(front) & 3"(Rear)
Finish : Hyper Black With Machined Polished lip
*Also would this give me any issues with my slip/trac light coming on. I know about the 2-3% rule and that the rear tires should ideally be slightly taller than the fronts. Would having the same size tire on a narrower rim cause it to be slightly shorter than the same tire mounted on a wider rim?
*Any forseen rubbing issues? I have a stock suspension.
