Information you has it. ^

Thats what i am seeing. Looks like most of the picking has been done already.
I saw some a6 but 2 had 34 runs on them and the other 2 had 14 runs.
Which to me would mean around half a year on the newer set and less on the others.
you get what, 50 runs out of a set?

A lot of the AutoX guys say about 60 sixty second runs on a new set of A6's if alignments are right. 80 runs on the V710s. Then again, most of them are running cars much lighter than a stock 350Z.

Default B'stone RE-01R on clearance @ Tire Rack!!!!!!

A wet dream! Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R's on clearance!

I just picked up a set of 265/35/18's for freakin $430 shipped!

If sizes aren't listed on the website call em. They have more coming in from Japan.

Great find!

Ok, just called them. 265/35/18 they expect in their warehouse around 3-6-2009. They don't have that many coming in but will fill what orders they have and charge your CC when it ships. I was quoted 99.00 per tire. No idea on shipping as I wanted to see if they had bigger sizes available in 18's and they don't.

I just got a call from Porter @ Tire Rack. He said the Nevada warehouse is not gonna be able to fill the back orders. However, he can still ship them from Indiana.

The price is gonna go up from $430 to $500 shipped tho. Still a screamin deal.

Be careful with tirerack last time around i ordered from them they sent me OUT OF ROUND tires.. My Lexus dealer told me the tires were probably sitting in the warehouse for god knows how long.. They replaced the tires for free but i had to pay dismount and mounting fee again.. I never ordered from them again after this incident

Lucky you guys who get to take advantage.

I've ordered from Tire Rack more times than I can count on one hand and always felt like they were outstanding.

I'm sure you can find a story like that for dam near every tire dealer in the world.

The tire shops I would avoid are the ones I hear the same "out of round" story but the tire shop refuse to send a replacement or, worse yet, stops responding to your emails or phone calls essentially leaving you out to dry. Those stories are the ones that scare me off.

The real question is are you so turned off by your experience with Tire Rack that you are unwilling to save $600 off the list price of a set of RE-01Rs?

I've had great luck with Tire Rack. 6 sets of Hoosier R6 tires in the last 2 years plus 4 sets of street tires. I've purchased wheels from them as well.

Put part of the blame on the mfg of those out-of round tires.

Well i installed the tires at the Lexus dealership itself. I had a great relationship with them family has bought about 4 cars there.. My Rep called me over and showed me how the tire spinned on the machine. It would not balance out properly and had vibrations up the ***.. I believe them..
They Tirerack sent the replacements no questions asked when i complained about the problem...
But like i said i had to pay to dismount and then pay to remount the new tires on the Rims at Lexus prices which is not cheap. Guess i was one off the unlucky ones right? I will never buy from tirerack again based on my experience even if to save a couple of bucks.

These tires are on close out right now. they are EXCELLENT tires, great for both autox and the track and DD.

last night i got two 265/35/18 and two 255/35/18 for $366 ($414 shipped). VS usual $1050. i guess they are sold out of these now, but they still have a lot of other sizes left.

i am soo happy!

i got them shipping from nevada and i didnt get such a call. I got a call that said they were on back order and that they would take about a week to send out. nothing about an increase in price

looks like u were more on top of things than I was ... i didn't see the sale until this morning. my friends that I autoX/HPDE tried to text me about this but I didn't check my phone till this morning.

I just bought a set of Kumho Ecsta XS tires a couple weeks ago so i'm looking forward to comparing and contrasting lap times with these

i have the XS on my track miata, and they were fantastic tires at the track. I tried them at autox also and they did pretty well.

i am getting these RE01R to replace my T1R on my Z because they are bald. I have heard they last a while even with the low treadwear ratings, but who knows as the Z is a heavy car.

I wish both the XS and RE01R were on the same car so i can compare and contrast them, but i cant.

I mounted the Kumho XS on my OEM 18x8 rims (b stock purposes) and I will be mounting the RE-01Rs on my P45Rs - 18x9.5 all the way around. Obviously, the comparison I'm gonna do won't be totally apples-apples because of my rim differences but both sets of tires are 265/35.

I'm going to use the Kumho's as dedicated AutoX tires but I will be taking the RE-01R's for some fun runs early in the season. I wanna see the time differences, if any.
