I purchased mine a few hours ago!

Stock tire size is 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 and they were showing out of stock online but I called them and they said they can still take orders over the phone. So they locked in my price!! They said they are receiving another shipment of RE01-R's next week. I should get them in a few weeks but my factory tires can still run another 2-3,000 miles on them so all I got is time baby!!

BTW, I got my fronts for (including tax) $78 per tire and my rears for $139 per tire..Total including shipping = $499.94

I'm going to use the Kumho's as dedicated AutoX tires but I will be taking the RE-01R's for some fun runs early in the season. I wanna see the time differences, if any.
you dont autox in the SFR region do you? i dont think i have seen you.

my track wheels are 18x8 and 18x8.5. already searched..should of done that earlier sorry. but i was thinking of going 255/45/18 for the rear.

my friend with an evo had them and lasted 8000 miles or so. i guess maybe its because of his driving.

From what I was told yesterday, they have 1 more shipment coming, but most of that is already spoken for. Confirmed mine over the phone as well.

If you don't autox or track much, these should last you around 20,000 miles..pretty much the same thing as the factory Potenzas..

I usually only attend the Sac events. I went to an SFR event (school) at Candlestick awhile back to check it out. Candlestick offered a lot of open space and a longer track setup but I found the surface to be crappy up there.

I'm sure SFR has its pros and cons but I know a lot of AutoX'ers down here prefer Sac events because we obviously have to drive farther for SFR events that have a bigger crowd and fewer runs.

I'll be out at Mather for the Shriners weekend (Apr 4/5). I have a bright orange Z... can't miss me! LoL

Are you bringing the Miata or the Z?

i don't know anyone with a Z that has these.

I do know quite a few people with S2000s that have these. Usually, for them, the rear 2 will last around 1 year with AutoX and some HDPE and the front 2 will go a while longer.

They order a set and replace the rears in 12 mos and the fronts after around 18 or so.

ahh icic thank you!

I guess I'll be ordering a set for my 18's.

I called them up to see if they have anything for my 19s....and they don't have 255/35/19 and 285/35/19 =/

They do have from what I recall 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

the rears are wayy too small...damn...just out of luck!

why would you buy these tires just for DD? and this is in the motorsports section so i would assume that most people want to use them for atleast autox.

a lot of people are also lowered, so camber + autox + hpde....10000 + atleast would be nice guess.

i usually autox the Z since the miata is such a pain in the a$$ to drive just for autox reasons. Spec miata suspension + harness + back half cage. just make the car way to stiff for freeway driving early in the morning. Its worth it if i am going to the track however!!!!

but knowing that mather is only 45 mins away, i might bring the miata. but i know mather is more of a v8 course with tight turns and LONG straights so the Z might be more fun. If you see either of these its me.

I haven't found a good set of pads for track use with the Z yet. I've just recently got going in HPDE and all I can tell you is stock and Hawk HPS are both completely unacceptable, especially on the rear.

I have a set of EBC Yellow Stuff that I'm going to try on 4/3. I just hope I don't thoroughly score my rotors with burn spots like i did last time. Otherwise, I might be doing an emergency brake job the night of the HPDE to get ready for the next day's AutoX.
