275 Square Set-Up on OEM Settings
So since I plan to get back into lapping days, time trials, etc, and since the Z doesn't really "fit" in any autoX class very well, I'm just going to do the few things I want to the car and when i autoX I'll just run whatever class I end up in (most likely BSP) and just have fun, no need to be competitive anymore, did that enough in previous cars.
So I'm looking to do 275's all around and to keep cost and weight down, going w/ 17's. So would be looking at 275/40-17.
Question is which would be the best pick to run on the car as-is?
17x9.5 +18
17x10 +18
17x10 +25
Looking to get away w/out running any spacers, and I'm on stock suspenion settings (height, camber, etc). I'm willing to roll fenders, but would like to avoid pulling them. I've done both on my old S13 and several other cars, so roll/pull is nothing new to me. Looking for a square set-up for rotation and these would be for the track only, put on the car drive to event, do event and drive home on them, put my 18's back on for DD.
17x10's would probably benefit the 275's the most, but is that too much since I have no real way to dial in my camber, etc? Also like the +18's due to the weight over the +25 (16-17lbs vs. 21-22lbs), just dunno if +18 on either a 9.5 or 10" wide rim is gonna clear on OEM suspension up front.
Searching around I didn't find much in the ways of doing this wide/agressive square set-up on OEM suspension, I know all set-ups work w/ more than factory camber and what-not, just dunno how'd they'd work not lowered, stock camber, etc.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Jay

I am just switching from 17s to 18s for BOTH my autox and track set-ups, so I have two full sets of 17s available of which I run 275 tires on. I've run both of these set-ups on my wife's stock-suspension 350ZR, so that is no issue.
17x9.5 +31 silver SSR Competitions (very light!) - no spacers needed and come with 275/40/17 Kumho V710s

I also have 17x10 +25 black with polished lip 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels with 275/40/17 Hoosier R5s. Only the biggest 275 (like this Hoosier) may need a 3-5mm shim spacer in the front. Most run these wheels and offsets with 275 tires without a spacer, but the Hoosiers are big, so I didn't want to take the chance.

I have a boatload more pictures if you're interested. Pricing would be about half of new for just the wheels, add a few 100 for the tires (which are all at about half their life and are ready to be flipped in/out). You need a higher offset to run the bigger tires in the front, especially on 9.5 or 10" wide wheels.

I ran 18x10 +22 F/R with 275 tires on stock suspension, and they fit without any rubbing issues at autocross. I would go with 17x10 +25 if you are concerned about fitment for the front for stock camber.
