Default My Sebring track day vids with the Ferrari guys

I went out to Sebring with the FCA as apart of the Celebration Exotics Festival. Had an absolute blast. It was my first time out on this track and it is a VERY tough track. I ran in blue group most of the time and green a couple times so I could take a passenger out with me. You'll see all kinds of cars in the vids. 355, 360, 430, gallardo, mucri, lp640's, panoz, GTR, gt3rs, etc...

Do you think they're taking applications for Balboni's old job?
Coolest job on the planet.

Wow, that's such an honor to meet Balboni in person! There are few people out there as distinguished (and nuts) as he is to have a special edition named after them.

Awesome vids too.

I counted a 2:35 lap time. Very respectable. Some nice heel-toe action. Very smooth driving.

You could definately make up some time going into turn 1. It seems like you lifted off the throttle too early. But turn 1 is intimidating becasue of that wall. Next time don't lift until you pass under the pedestrian bridge if your brakes are up to it. You should be able to carry a little more speed into turn 17 by going a little wider before turning in on the second apex. But a very very nice job on a tough track!

Were you are r-compound or street tires?

I was on 888's

I was lifting early on turn one cause I was topping out 4th gear and didn't wanna shift into 5th for 2 sec. and then go back down. Same situation with the hairpin. I started getting closer to the wall as the sessions went on, could def. still get closer though. 17 is just hard, lol. More seat time is required to figure that turn out. Everyone has there own line through there it seemed like

Yeah... turn 17 is a bit hard until your used to it. There are two ways to take it. Single apex or double apex. The entry line close to the wall you had was the double apex line but it seemed like you were just hugging the inside line. Turn 17 isn't defined by curbing or any painted lines to judge your position inthe turn. It just seems like open concrete and many people new to the track just hug the inside which is really the pit entry line which could lead to problems if someone is trying to pit. It gets interesting when you get some guys trying to single apex, some guys trying to double apex, and some guys who have no idea what they are doing. It can get funky in there when you add into the mix the different speeds one guy inside, one guy outside, and one guy who is following the correct line. You'll get it soon enough.
