Yup, I've been putting four 285/30/18s in the car for about two years, though I do have a hitch that I put a bike rack to carry two of the tires for when I have a passenger.
Man driving 200 miles+ or to my local event which is 40 miles... with fully loaded and drive back to my house and unload... F@#$ ahaha i usually unload the next day....
sorry for bumping an old thread but does anyone for see any issues with carrying 8 tires on a setup like this? I would make another rack for wheels and tire where the tool box would be.
12AutoX -- What thickness plywood did you use and what is the weight of the trailer with the enclosure?
I never subscribed to the thread... sorry for the delay, but I used 3/8" plywood and 2-3 layers of fiberglass. It's probably 400 lbs. The door is starting to warp a little after about 20 months.
