Smile getting back into tracking after a few years :)

well, finally have some time coming up and refocusing on one of my many interests/hobbies...tracking the Z.

may be picking up enkei 18x9.5 all around and thinking of running same tire sizes also (so I can rotate in the future). thinking of toyo r888...recommendations on sizes and what do those who run the 888 have pressure set at, cold. man, I feel like a newb with so many questions

probably will tow the car to track.

Go with Toyo RA1s, as they will last longer

R888s are nice but as stated, they go fast and quickly become useless. I have heard good things about the new R1R and would last a lot longer. Lots of street tires these days are becoming very quick while still offering some treadwear (140+)

I thought RA1s were discontinued?....replaced by r888? man, I guess I've been gone longer than I thought. Will search to see if RA1s can still be found.

I cant run 17s...I have 14" stoptechs.

Thanks everyone for the input

The RA1's were brought back in certain sizes due to complaints about the R888.

I was personally very happy with Pilot Sport Cups running 265's on all four corners when my car was stock motor with bolt ons and true choice koni's/350evo suspension mods.

Agree! Also, the NT01's are non-directional. Not a big deal, but makes tire rotation easier if you go with the square set-up.

I run the 18x9.5 +15 RPF1 all around and they are wonderful. I run Hoosiers but I loved the Toyo RA1 when I used them in the beginning.

check out the Goodyear RS and BFG G1...both decent tires with good life expectancy

Both of these are making a comeback into racing, at least in NASA
