I found 1/2 solid rod at home depot and bent it.

its been hands down the most secure set up for towing on the Z...i really recommend guys.

What about reenforcing the rear bumper brace (like done for a bike carrier), adding a rear tow hook, and grabbing onto that (the rear tow hook)? Although my original plan was to cut a hole behind the license plate and have the tow strap stick out from there, the shop ended up putting it through one of OEMs hole in the NISMO bumper...

Might work, its alum so just make sure its braced properly. I personally like 2 points front and back as far to the sides as possible to secure a car. In the middle only may not be ideal.

I've been looking for something to winch my car up onto my trailer backwards and tie it down. Would this be strong enough you think to pull the Z up a 5% incline repeatedly? Driving it up is next to impossible (huge cams, poor idle, and small flywheel). And bringing it up forwards involves removing the splitter etc and is also a real PITA.
