Has anyone fit a 295/35/17 up front? My 275/40/17 are pretty close to the fender, and there's only a few millimeters between the wheel & suspension. I know it can be done with 18" wheels, but you have to use a lower offset with 17's b/c of the shape of the suspension arm.
im thinking of doing that next time around, any rubbing or problems? what kinda camber do you have up front?
I actually still have NT05's up front, i should have RS3's going on this week up front. I know the RS3 runs wide, but it should work just fine on a 9.5 inch wheel. I run -2.8 front camber and have no problems with rubbing.
I briefly had the 285/35/18 R-S3s mounted on my 9.5" wide wheels with +12 offset and I rubbed in the front. The front end was about 25.25" from the ground to the top of the wheel arch and my camber was set to around -2.2º at the time.

I ran on 285/35 RS3's (+15 w/spacers) at 25.5" or so with no issue a while back. Camber was about -2.7.
Pictures from last weekend (forgot to tape the front duct.....surprised no one said anything):
