New NASA Class for 2012: Spec Z

So $100 if you're the only entry? Sweet! Thanks for the info, David!
Here is the full "release":
NASA Spec Z Series Update
Since being launched earlier this year, the NASA Spec Z series has not only received favorable media visibility, but racers have responded enthusiastically by racing and building 350Zs for this new series.
We’d like to provide you with some additional details that will make this NASA racing class even more exciting and noteworthy.
- Are you aware that the Nissan Racer Support Program provides regional awards for each NASA Spec Z event?
Payout Schedule: 1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place 3 or more starters: $500 Cash $250 Cash $100 Cash 2 starters: $250 Cash $125 Cash Driver National Championship: $1000
- For those racers who are interested in running the NASA Nationals, be sure to contact Jeremy Croiset at http://www.nasaproracing.com/contact...remy%20Croiset, to discuss the particulars about getting your car “qualified” to participate in this great event September 6-9 at Mid-Ohio Raceway in Lexington, OH.
- Did you know that your Spec Z 350Z is eligible to race in other NASA classes besides Spec Z over the course of a NASA weekend? Ask Jeremy about the benefits of racing in other classes on the same weekend.
- As an added bonus to current and prospective Spec Z racers, Nissan North America, Inc. is offering a special “Summer Bonus” to all Spec Z racers who have registered in the Nissan Racer Support Program. During the months of June and July, any registered racer who who scores season points in a NASA Spec Z race and submits the required documentation to Nissan Motorsports, will be eligible to earn an additional $100 regardless of the finishing position or number of Spec Z starters.
- Finally, if you have a 350Z race car but are unsure about joining the NASA Spec Z series, NASA has a provision called a “Fun Run” that will allow you to try out the class without making a single change to your car just to “get your feet wet”. Certain NASA provisions and rules apply so check with Jeremy Croiset about this great opportunity.

So, what is the single plate clutch/PP/Flywheel of choice for a VQ-DE car?
Nismo stuff?
I think I need one...as I am having shifting issues into 5th and 6th. But shift ok into 1, 2, 3, 4, and reverse...could be tranny gone to shiate...but need to change out my 6 year old Multiplate clutch anyway to be legal...
I plan to do the normal clutch Bleed this weekend, maybe I am lucky and that will fix my current problem...but I still need to "get legal".
Note: this is the 1st time I have driven the car in 6 months, it has been sitting since the Dec race at Road Atlanta...and I don't remember any Tranny issues then...so it is likley the clutch. I bleed it just before the Devc race, so not sure what is going on.

I grabbed a NISMO flywheel - price hurt a lot.
Now having some cooling issues from my 100 degree weekend (and 50 minute race on Sunday), so will likely need to upgrade the radiator. *sigh*
Anyone pull out the two electric fans for more airflow (just can't idle long?)?

Install the largest radiator you can find, and make sure all the plastic shrouds are in place, tape up any openings, and leave the OEMs fans alone...they are NOT HURTING you for sure...and helping you most of the time...
What Oil and Water temps are you reaching???

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to review the rules on the radiator. As for temps - I DUNNO. I've never had/needed a gauge in my green car. Even on the hottest days, it seemed the stock gauge didn't budge. Now I know it's non-linear, and the temps likely went up a decent amount without a ticket onto said stock gauge. I guess it's time to gauge 'er up, or use some fancy PDX blueteeth gizmo to keep things clean. I suspect I have an air bubble somewhere, and do know that the system held pressure before the weekend started. I'm running water with water wetter.
Random question for you guys....have any of you tracked your cars using the stock VLSD? If so, how good or bad was it?
I am not liking the feedback about this Wavetrac unit and I am thinking of running the stock unit to save some cash and headache, but I've never ran it before.
