I'm back to do a flash update while I am on my lunch hour.

First for 2015 I'm trying to go "legit" and compete in the CASC which I guess is kind of like your SCCA.

So there are lots of rules to time attack this year. But here is a video of where I plan to compete most of the time.

I think I can be very competitive in that series despite not visiting many of the tracks on the schedule. I think I will be very tough on the tight/ slow courses on the schedule, but the big GP tracks will challenge me and the more established competitors will probably give me a very hard time on those courses, at least at first.

So as an aside my YouTube eclipsed 600000 views and I am probably going to make most of my posts there first from now on. At least you get paid for that.
To improve the audio in my vids I just picked up this.

The engine is in for a quick refresh before the season starts to I can be sure to be on my game.

Overall I am told the motor is in good shape and it should be up and running with a new 3.5" straight race exhaust soon. RIP ears trackside.

Another 350Z owner that spends some time on the track sent me some pics of his diffuser so that is another summer project as I likely have room in my class to make one.

If your not running a fuel cell do you plan to increase the rake on the rear splitter? Also that t-shirt design is wicked.

I planned to scour the internet for what would be considered an ideal rake and duplicate that. Too much rake and it's all drag.

How much rake does the car have front to rear? Also your not running under body paneling are you?

So here is what I was looking at making for my track car. Dismiss the exhaust since its no longer a dual and only a single 3 inch. The front is going to mate to the subframe, the back spaced as required to get my angle with it extending about an inch past the bumper. The left and right verticals will go as far down as I can to seperate the air from the tires.

My car sits above the max downforce hieght so I'm at the point of diminishing return and truthfully I need to use as shallow of a diffuser as possible. With my car sitting with a 2 % rake I Am looking at a diffuser with a 5 degrees rake to total out to 7 degrees. After testing it at speed I wouldn't be surprised if I take it down to 4 degrees. Anything more and I'll cause the air to start tumbling before it leaves the rear of the car.

Cliffs.
Original engine by Sasha Anis of ONPOINT DYNO.
2 years good use. Time for rebuild.
Rebuilt by Eric Lavinge of R Division. in Kitchener Ontario Canada.
The finishing stages of which were almost 2 consecutive all nighters to try and get the car on the track today.
Eric took the car to an independent mustang dyno to measure it's power.
Results are shocking and a good testament to how to build a 350Z VQ35DE motor.
No currently running NA 3.5L DE motor stands in it's path even after all these years.

I can't wait to get back in this thing and pass other cars with it.

Impressive DE numbers, esp on a mustang. Idle makes me drool.

What gear was the pull in?

I'm wondering what he did to it. I hope I'm not missing this...
Was it ported and polished? The plenum was modified? And how much of a gain like 20whp?

That idle is amazing!

Very impressive numbers for a DE, i'd really like to know what was done to the motor.

First events were a bit shaky as the car was new and I hadn't driven it in 8 months but regardless 2 class wins in my first FIA approved time trial series.
I had some stiff competition including an instructor in a new C7Z06 Z07, last years champion in a Fox body Mustang on Hoosiers, an Ls6 240sx, a Camaro on Continental slicks, etc.
