Default Tire/Suspension advice before next auto-x run

Hey all,

Posting cause my front tires are probably going to not last before they are cut up and brake pads and fluids are probably in order as well. Before I go about changing everything, I'd like to see what advice I could get as my tire sizing was a bit off. Current spec's and mods are listed below for reference.

I am planning to change the front tire size to something shorter, maybe a 265/35/18 as there is a dip in the parking lot we use here for auto-x that has claimed damage to my fenders and tire due to the fender hitting it. I also plan to swap out to motul RBF-600 as my fluid boiled during this past weekends event when I had a co driver and only 5 mins of cool down. Brake pads are also in order and I've heard good things about the carbotech combo but would rear pads be necessary? I was gonna use the money saved from not buying rears and buying a front 2 piece rotor from z1motorsports. We have about 5 more runs left but I'd like to be a bit more competitive without destroying anything else in my car.

Drop to 275/35-18 square, or just run that size up front

I agree- running 275/35-18s all 'round would be the best solution. Also, the question about rear brake pads is legit. By running a more aggressive pad up front, there's going to be differing coefficient of friction on the front and back axles (if you leave your stock, or near stock, rear pads in place). To get the best braking performance, using a matched set of rear performance pads is recommended.
