Any local CA peeps coming out to Laguna Seca this weekend? Come say hi and cheer on the Valkyrie Autosport 350Z as it takes on 17 competitors in the ST3 class!

We finished 4'th, weekend write up can also be found on our facebook page.
Video will be up tonight hopefully. Some fun battles with a couple M3's, and a very close call with one as well!

I was at Mazda LSIR the week previous for SCCA Double Reeeeeg. One Z. An S30 in GT2. Disappointing.... should come out to NASA if I want to see any Z33s. Hahaha!
In case you (or anyone) is interested in what the Miata, er, I mean Club racers
are doing these days... https://my350z.com/forum/other-vehic...g-weekend.htmlCongrats on your class finish!

We will be racing a 4 hour endurance event at Buttonwillow the end of October. It will hopefully be our first event testing our new 3.7L VQ35HR motor setup from Jim Wolf Technology!

Good stuff- from the BMW sandwich to LMP2 cars flashing by, that was an action-packed race. Gotta love those combined class races- I experienced a similar situation back when I ran the '08 NASA Nationals at Mid-Ohio. From Daytona Prototypes to Indy thundercars, you had to keep an eye on your mirrors! Finished 5th in PTB and was fortunate to escape without a scratch on the car.
Mixed class racing works fine as long as everyone realizes that it's mixed class and no one keeps someone from another class from competing and you keep an eye out all around.
Its the idiots who are either unaware or try to race everyone that screw things up.

Thanks for sharing the video. I really enjoyed watching. As someone who's just starting out in NASA (HPDE), it's really cool to watch races such as this. Especially in Z. Really gives me something to look forward to.
Thanks guys, it was a pretty fun race. Tires of loosing to those damn M3's though. We have a motor in the works that should max us out in the power to weight ration department. We were running about 40-50 HP down to what we could be running for the class. That was evident by the M3's (especially the white one) killing us out of 11 and down the straight.
Jim Wolf Technology is building us a new HR motor to replace our current DE setup. It will have a 3.7L crank, NISMO oil pump, and their C8 race cams. That should do the trick!
