EnthuZ: Don't forget to wear your Nomex suit to protect yourself from all the heat you'll get from the people who say that using harnesses without a rollbar/cage is suicidal. I put up with it for a year, but just couldn't take it anymore.

Do you know of any on line map sources other than MapQuest & Yahoo? They suck. I might need help getting from the track to Bellville as I'd prefer to take a direct way.

No new news, other than the owner/president of the company that is going to manufacture it is now involved. So it won't be a "G" job. Hoping this won't affect price.
I took a pix through the mirror before I removed it. As you can see, it doesn't block the view. In the pix, I tried to show the bar.....when driving it is below my view & can not be seen.

Although I'm no longer in the market, since I have my roll bar, I'd suggest, with all due respect, and understanding the work and quality of materials involved, that that is just too high a price.
My guess is that you'd have a market at around $350, and a pretty good market at $250. But IMO, there aren't many people out there willing to pay $500 for just a harness bar, when for a couple hundred more they could have a full roll bar.
But I could be wrong. Good luck.

To each his own. I've done MUCH research, and the price point is comparable to what is being offered for other vehicles of a similar quality.
Many people do not want a roll bar. I would like a roll cage too, but my car is my only car, and I do not chose to make the sacrifices that you & John have. Others have expressed interest. I would LOVE to sell for $50.00.....but my math skills are better than my driving skills.
I am trying to bring a quality product to a limited market at a more than fair price. If ANYONE can offer a similar product for less, more power to them.
A few knowledgeable people suggested I would be nuts for trying to market my bar. So be it. I'm nuts!

Soon I will find out who will pay for my solution. I will find out soon who is right.
To those that agree that this bar is an excellent solution for mounting race harnesses, I WILL NOT BE DETOURED!!!!
As to the Kirk bar.........how much will it cost to weld in proper frame attachments? Bolting a roll bar to a floor pan is........dare I say, WORTHLESS!

I think you're nuts because I've met you in person.
Here's what happened when I tried to sell a product to the 350Z community. Last year I produced a 350Z calendar with pictures from people here and on other Web sites. I printed them at the local Kinko's where I did a lot of business and got a good price break. And they turned out pretty nice, if I do say so myself.
But I overestimated the number I'd sell, ordered too many, didn't sell half of what I had on hand, and lost $200 or so on the whole deal. Disappointing, annoying, but not financially devastating.
So if you can have the bars made up as the orders come in, without having to put money up front, then fine, sell them for whatever you think is fair. But if you have to do a minimum run of X pieces that you have to pay for yourself, and don't have X paid orders in hand to cover your costs, beware!
Also beware of overestimating the market based on the number of people who claim they're interested. Money talks. I thought I could easily sell at least 50 or 60 calendars, which was my break-even point. I sold 30. (I admit that it didn't help that I was selling them after the first of the year.)
Believe me, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of your enterprise and believe that everyone will want your marvelous product. You'll feel differently if you end up thousands of bucks in the hole with a garage full of stuff no one wants to buy. (Anyone want a 2003 350Z calendar? Cheap!)
